What to Ask a Christmas Tree Removal Provider Before Booking

The questions you ask before booking matter more than the price. Here is the short list that prevents surprises.
What the price actually covers
Ask whether the quote is for curbside pickup only or includes carrying the tree out from inside. Carrying out is often an extra fee, and a provider who only does curb might leave you to haul a heavy tree down two flights of stairs.
Find out whether the price covers one tree or extras like a stand, and whether drop-off at their site is cheaper than curbside. Two similar quotes can cover very different scope.
What happens to the tree
Ask how the provider disposes of the trees — mulching, composting, or landfill. If recycling matters to you, confirm they actually recycle and that your tree is eligible (flocking and tinsel often disqualify it).
A provider who grinds trees into mulch for local parks is doing something different from one who tips them at landfill. Both are valid services; they are just not the same outcome.
Pickup window and reliability
Ask for the pickup window, not just the day. In the first two weeks of January providers run packed routes and a tree can sit at the curb for days waiting. The tighter the window, the less time a dried tree spends near your home.
Ask what happens if they miss a pickup — do they reschedule or refund — so you are not chasing a slot in the busiest week of the year with a fire-hazard tree in the yard.
